Friday, Sept. 19

6:30 p.m. Evening program
Mr. Gary Thies, Mission Developer for LCMS World Mission will begin Friday evening’s program with a unique presentation on the mission opportunities around the world.
Rev. Glenn Merritt, of LCMS World Relief and Human Care Disaster Relief will introduce the convention participants to a special program of practical congregation-based disaster response.
Saturday, Sept. 20
8:00 a.m. Continental Breakfast
9:00 a.m. Opening devotional service led by Orphan Grain Train president, Rev. Ray S. Wilke, where he will explore the convention theme and what it brings to our discussion of congregation-based disaster response.
10:00 a.m. Convention program continues with Rev. Merritt providing church-based “Lutheran Early Response Team Training.”
12:00 Catered lunch
1:00 p.m. During the afternoon several other presenters will outline “The Four ‘R’s’ of Disaster Outreach, “Orphan Grain Train’s Unique Capacity,” and “Extra Mile Ministries' Unique Capacity.”
Rev. Matthew Harrison, Executive Director of LCMS World Relief and Human Care will talk about "Our Unique Capacity Together." Lutheran Laymen’s League President, Mike Onnen, and Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod First Vice-President, Rev. William Diekelman will give special messages.
6:00 p.m. Saturday evening Banquet. Rev. John Reehl and Nikolai Devyatkin of Saint Petersburg, Russia, will share a presentation on prison and orphanage ministries.

The cost for registration and all meals is $42 per person if post-marked by September 10. Registrations after that date are $47 per person.
